Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. Imagine this: You are in line at a Haagen-Dazs ice cream stand at a temple in Thailand. From the back of the line, you hear your name being called. Behind you stands your university teaching assistant, also on winter break. Neither of you knew the other would be in Bangkok, much less hankering for an ice cream bar.Moments like this seem magical-with all of the people and all of the places in the world, how is it that encounters like this can happen? And yet they do, more often than we realize. With plenty of personal contributions-including the tale of how they became friends-coeditors Bobbi Zehner and Kate Conklin Corcoran collected over ninety short stories of synchronicity and happenstance from people all over the world and compiled them to create Under a Shared Umbrella.A mixture of everyday occurrences and travel experiences, this delightful collection of short memoirs will surprise and inspire you to see your life and the world around you as an adventure just waiting to happen. Today is a new day: Who knows what might transpire? Shipping may be from our UK warehouse or from our Australian or US warehouses, depending on stock availability.…
