SECOND PRINTING (April 1931) hardcover, sewn-bound in brown cloth, with gilt lettering and illustration of cactus and yucca on front cover, and very faded gilt lettering on spine, is in G condition, having some bumping and wear to corners; tiny flecks of black paint on front cover, along with a small stain at bottom; back cover has small stain on middle left edge (see photo); light wear to top and bottom spine; there is a gift inscription on first free endpaper in ink, with date May 12, 1934; tiny holes at top right of first free endpaper (probably something was stapled, then removed); light handling wear to pages. Book is illustrated with b&w photographs of desert flora. Introduction by Harold Bell Wright. A charming small volume on some of the plants of the desert. Botany. Plants. Cacti. Ocotillo. Blue Palo Verde. Yucca. United States. DB[4].
