For an edition of "I, Claudius" 56 x 44cm.American photojournalist, Bob Gomel, is known for his iconic images of world leaders, athletes, entertainers, and major events of the 1960s. His photographs have appeared on the covers of LIFE, Sports Il…lustrated, Newsweek, TIME, The New York Times, Forbes, and in more than 40 books. Born in New York in 1933, Gomel earned a journalism degree from New York University in 1955 and served as a U.S. naval aviator stationed in Japan from 1955 to 1958. After serving in the NAVY Gomel went on to be a photographer for LIFE Magazine from January 1959 through June 1969. His coverage included John F. Kennedy, the Beatles, Muhammad Ali, and Arnold Palmer. Gomel covered many major events such as the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis, the 1963 March on Washington, the 1963 funeral of President Kennedy, the 1968 Democratic National Convention, and many more. In 1964, the University of Missouri School of Journalism honored Gomel with the best news photo of the year. The photo depicted the passion in the keynote speech of Sen. John O. Pastore at the 1964 Democratic National Convention. LIFE ran a full-page as in the New York Times recognizing the award. Gomel's photograph of the 1965 blackout-darkened New York City skyline lit by the moon alone is believed to be the first double-exposure image published as a news photograph. From the 1970s through the 1990s, Gomel shifted his focus to commercial photography, and moved to Huston in 1977. He shot national advertising campaigns throughout the world for Audi, Bulova, GTE, and the U.S Army.Gomel's images remain of interest to collectors, news organizations, galleries and museums including the U.S Library of Congress and the Museum of Fine Arts in Huston.From the collection of Frederic Gale Ruffner, Jr., the founder of Gale Research, Detroit.

The trade edition published in the same year contained the same plates, albeit were tipped-in and not full-page. Slight sun fading down the spine. Very Good condition book in Very Good peppermint green paper covered slip case carrying the correct limited edition number 36 for this book. Gooden's work can be found in the collections of the British Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London, the Fitzwilliam Museum, Cambridge and the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, USA. She made her theatrical debut in a lead role as young princess Maria in Call Me Madam at the London Coliseum in March 1952. Wallis sprang to global fame when appearing as Nancy in the Oscar-winning musical film Oliver! in 1968,[citation needed] starring alongside O…liver Reed as Bill Sikes, Ron Moody as Fagin, Jack Wild as the Artful Dodger, and Mark Lester as Oliver. Afterwards, Wallis received an offer to star in the television series The Brady Bunch, but turned it down because she wanted to do more musicals.

Behiye Aksoy (born Behiye Tetiker; 19 September 1933 - 31 May 201…5) was a Turkish female singer of the Turkish classical music genre. Her maiden surname was Tetiker. After primary school in Istanbul, her family moved to Ankara, where she finished junior high school. At the age of 15, she applied to the audition for Ankara Radio. She was among the five successful candidates out of 200. She was one of the Turkish music singers of Ankara Radio for nine years. In 1958, for the first time, she got on stage in Ankara. Three years later, she moved to İstanbul and became one of the two-star performers of the "Maksim Gazino", the most famous night club in Turkey at the time. The other star performer was Zeki Müren. She also released records; about 100 45-rpm and 20 LPs. She played in four films. She received a platinum diadem for her success from her record company. She married three times. The first was with Halil Aksoy, a musician between 1952 and 1963. Halil Aksoy was the father of her only son Ahmet Kazim. Although they were divorced, she kept the surname Aksoy. Her two other marriages were short living. Between 1973 and 1974, she married Berker Inanoglu, a film producer. Her third marriage was with Fahrettin Aslan, the owner of the Maksim night club, which also ended in the same year. Signed by Author(s).

Scored for the piano. Thomas Henry Lodge [Henry Lodge] was an American piano performer and composer of popular music. The hits Temptation Rag (1909) followed by Sur…e Fire Rag (1910) and Red Pepper (1910) established himself selling music in stores and on the vaudeville circuit. After leaving Rhode Island for New York in 1912, he worked in bars and cabarets before becoming the pianist of the well-known dancers, Irene and Vernon Castle. In the 1920's he moved to Palm Beach, Florida to work with an orchestra and also commuted to Los Angeles, California in the early days of film music. In Very Good condition. Member of the P.B.F.A.
