Soft cover. Condizione: VERY GOOD Minus. Alexander painted cover (illustratore). First Edition By This Publisher. SCARCE in this Berkley Medallion edition with this Alexander painted cover; 181-Pages; ** Goodreads: Who knoweth the spirit of men that goeth upward, and the spirit of the beast that goeth downward to the earth? -Ecclesiastes 3:21; Okay, they did resemble elephants, it can't be denied. That led many people to underestimate the Nildoror and their obviously more fearsome commensals, the Sulidoror. But aliens should never be judged by human standards, as the Company learned to its cost when Holman's World, now once again known as Belzagor, was given back to the natives and the Company sent packing. Now Edmund Gunderson, once head of the Company's operation on this world, has come back across the galaxy to settle old scores with the Nildoror. If he can even get them to acknowledge his existence. ** Author is a multiple winner of both Hugo and Nebula Awards, a member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Hall of Fame, and a Grand Master of SF since 2004; >> Moderate creasing to covers, cover scuffing; minor staining to back cover, Size: 12mo - over 6¾" - 7¾" Tall. For this is only the first scene of a new horror movie being shot on location - or is it? Because a recent victim of a car accident has indeed vanished. Suddenly the terrors of the film script are enacted in frightful reality. Just what IS the connection between Anvil Productions and the disappearance of more people from the village? Ann Green, a young and attractive journalist, makes it her business to find out and becomes enmeshed in a dangerous web of horror. Deliberately pursuing her solitary investigation, she feels herself exposed to evil, but she cannot back out now. As dusk settles, a thick fog creeps over the cobblestone streets, and the villagers lock their doors in fear. Whispers of a cursed lineage and a vengeful spirit haunt the night. Each year, as the harvest moon rises, the specter is said to emerge, wandering the village in search of peace, leaving behind a trail of crimson that vanishes by dawn.
