Paperback. Condizione: new. Paperback. "This is a delightful book. Daniel Bortz has a contagious sense of wonder and that special gift of being able to take your hand and lead you to those pure and wholesome places in yourself that you forgot existed." -Rav Avraham Sutton, Author of Spiritual Technology and Master Kabbalist Beneath the Surface describes life beyond the superficial layer of reality from a deeper perspective, drawing from mystical Jewish sources that discuss answers to life's existential questions. Who am I and why am I here? How can I improve my relationships with others? Why must I endure so many tests and struggles? How should I define success? Is there anything more to this life than what meets the eye? Bortz inspires with engaging stories and parables selected from ancient Jewish texts that are delivered in a practical style, relevant to our day-to-day 21st century lives. Short and to the point, yet maintaining the depth of wisdom in the original idea, this book of self improvement contains no fluff. Each section offers something valuable to the uninitiated and expert alike. While many advanced sources are discussed, no previous knowledge is necessary before reading this book. Our universe is wondrous, full of a beauty that is found in its myriad complex details. More incredible, though, is the beauty found within, if only we took the time to notice. Each of us has a vital role to play in the purpose of our universe. By discovering our soul, the priceless treasure inside, we can light up our lives and the world around us for the better.
