Cloth. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. This is a collection of short novels and stories by Maupasfant, Useless Beauty being the most famous in 1926. It contains 234 pages which include a total of 20 stories. On unmarked page 235 is printed "The translation of the stories (from French) in this volume is by Storm Jameson, edited and seen through the press by Ernest Boyd." The condition is very good. The pages are clean and free of marks, tears, and folds. There are no signatures. The binding is tight. The black and gold cloth cover is quite beautifully designed on front and plain black on spine and back. The title is gold lettering on black outlined in gold on front. The spine has some wear on top and bottom.
