Dark green covers with gilt lettering on front and spine, and black lettering on back. No dust jacket. Corners are bumped, rounded and worn, and ends of spine are worn and frayed. Covers are scuffed some. Binding is partially split by the covers, and completely split in middle of book. Inside front cover has name and address of a previous owner. Endpapers have some stains. Some pages have creased corners, stains, or tanning. Book is in acceptable condition.; 12mo 7" - 7½" tall; 510 pages.

Frontispiece, a steel-plate engraving of the author, protected by tissue guard. Title page in various font types and sizes. Work on the history of two renowned American Evangelists, the gospel singer and composer Ira David Sankey (1840- 1908), a.k.a. "The Sweet Singer of Methodism" and the publisher Dwight Lyman Moody (1837-1899), who were associated with each other. Illustrated with a few engravings. Age wear to binding. Inside overall clean and tight. Very good condition.
