Cover is stained on it's bottom corner to the foot of the spine, continuing on to the back of the book. This stain is also dotted on the top of the front cover. No date on title page. Copyright page dated 1989. Unpaginated. The stain has made it's way along the fore-edge and onto the bottom of the first 23 pages and shows up again for 10 pages. Otherwise interiors are clean and free from any pencil, pen, or highlighter markings. Black-and-white plates or color images of old hebrew documents on every other page. Overall a good copy.

The holdings of the Lowry Collection, rare Hebraica and Judaica spanning a period of over five centuries, include nearly forty Hebrew and Latin incunables, over one hundred early and rare editions of the Bible in many languages, and numerous editions and translations of the works of the ancient Jewish historian Josephus. The remainder and majority of the collection consists of rare Hebraica from the 16th to the 19th century, encompassing all aspects of rabbinic and Hebrew literature published during the period, two thirds of these works being first editions and extreme rarities.

Since this edition, limited to 500 copies, and numbered, was late in clearing U.S. Customs and did not arrive at the Morgan Library for the first day of the exhibition, a provisional, poor, reproduction on low quality paperback, was provided free of charge at the Morgan. This is the delux edition. 50 items, each with description and illustration (partly in colour). With a facsimile of the papal bull of Clement VIII (Rome 1593). With 10 indices and bibliography. Lunzer wanted countless mliiions for his collection, and after years and years on the market it was bought for a fraction of the original price (minus some of the choicest items, sold separately) by some deep pockets who donated it the Israel National library.
