A medley drawn from William Horace Lingard's repertoire (Not for Joe & Bitter Beer; Walking Down Broadway; Captain Jinks & Old Hats; Through Central Park; Georgia; On the Beach at Long Branch). David Braham was born in London in 1838. The family immigrated to New York City when David was15, where he began working as a violinist in the orchestra accompanying the Pony Moore Minstrels. The first Broadway musical to feature music by David Braham was Pluto, produced by William Horace Lingard at the Theatre Comique, the latter's debut. Lingard became known as one of the funniest men of the time. Scarce; 1 copy on OCLC.
