Samml. des allerhöchsten Kaiserhauses - Band XXV - Heft 1)Bartolomeo Suardi, better known as Bramantino (Milan, c. 1465 - ibid., c. 1530), was an Italian painter and architect of the Italian Renaissance, primarily active in his native Milan. He belonged to the Milanese school of painting and was a pupil of Donato Bramante. Probably as a reward for his loyalty to the Sforza family during the siege of Milan, he was appointed court painter and architect by Francesco Maria Sforza in 1525.
