Peter Heinrich Brincker (1836-1904) was a missionary of the Rhenish Missionary Society in German South-west Africa who translated the New Testament and the Psalms into Herero. With the signature of Alice Werner to the front endpaper, the stamp of the Editorial Library B.F.B.S. and a pencilled note stating that this was bought from Dr. Werner's estate in August 1935. Spine faded, a very nice signed copy of the first edition in the publisher's red cloth.
