A scarce, early 16th century edition of the works of Horatius Flaccus, containing the Four Books of Odes by Epodes, the secular poem by Porphyry, Antonius Mancius, the Ascension to the interpreters, the poetical art of the same, two books of Sermons, as many Epistles, by John Britan, the interpreter of Brixus. Added, are lengthy commentaries by Josse Bade. The work is illustrated with 12 woodcuts, beginning with a large example to folio I. There are 55 large woodcut initials, and hundreds of smaller ones throughout. The first six preliminary leaves, including the title page, are lacking. The main work is textually complete.
