Die bereits seit 1797 erschienene Zeitschrift war 1839 eingestellt worden und wurde im Juni 1912 nach Anregung von Tommaso Antongini wiederbelebt. Diese quasi Neue Folge erschien noch vor der berühmten "Gazette du Bon Ton", wurde aber bereits 1914 schon wieder eingestellt. Diese neue Reihe widmete ihre Inhalte ganz der Mode des Art-Déco und enthält graphische Arbeiten der bedeutendsten französischen Künstler dieser Stilrichtung wie Léon Bakst, Paul Iribe oder wie vorliegend Roger Broders u.a. Broders (1883-1953) war Illustrator und Plakatkünstler. Er entwarf u.a. zahlreiche Plakate für die französichen Eisenbahnen und die Compagnie Internationale des Wagons-Lits.
