After being adopted by the tribe, Kirk escaped and rejoined his regiment. He recounts his role in a raid with Rogers' Rangers, expeditions to Montreal and Detroit, battles of Signal Hill and Bushy Run, etc. Accounts of the local geography and wild life are also included.
