The troupe was working on a play that dealt with the public perception of obesity and the concept of BBW -- "big beautiful women" and in response, the photographers created a suite of still-life images dealing with Western society's complex relationship with food and "the tension between seduction and repulsion." The book won an medal at the 2011 Swiss Design Awards. Photographs by Matthieu Lavanchy and Jonas Marguet; texts by Marie Luce Ruffieux, Jean-Luc Borgeat, Bruno Deville, Sebastien Martin, and Antoine Jaccoud. Staple-bound, self-wrappers; 24 glossy pages + a 12-page booklet of text bound-in; 10 full-page or full-spread color illustrations; 11.5 x 16.5 inches. LAID-IN is an ORIGINAL PRINT: 8x10-inches, color, initialed on the back by both photographers, and numbered 20/20, in a mylar sleeve.
