For Scarpa, each structural decision is a subtle and very precise story that defines the project and gives it its identity.In the course of this study, structure will be examined in several of Carlo Scarpas works in order to highlight the significant use he made of it in each project and to demonstrate the poetic element contained within. Carlo Scarpa met en scène la structure par la révélation de l?équilibre en élaborant des dispositifs subtils, et cela à toutes les échelles, de la structure de l?édifice à celle des structures d?exposition. La structure dans les ?uvres de Carlo Scarpa est toujours très juste, bien proportionnée, sans excès ni ajout inutile. Les détails nécessaires à sa construction sont aussi étudiés pour répondre aux besoins de l?expression architecturale, de la lecture du mouvement des yeux en quelque sorte. C?est ce travail discret et subtil que j?appelle « message », car il dépend de l?observateur et de sa sensibilité, et que l?on peut qualifier de poésie constructive.
