Clean and tightly bound in green cloth with gilded titles. Light edge wear only. Contents are illustrated with several greenhouse sketches. Light shelf wear, underlining to title page and glued paper and spotting to endpapers. This copy is from a 19th Century private lending institution, the Mercantile Library of New York City. There are no external indications of the library's ownership. A handwritten number and Mercantile Library stamp on the title page and some of the internal pages.
