Original full leather binding, spine has 5 raised bands in 6 compartments, condition fair/poor as well rubbed and covers detached, spine in 2 parts, one part detached. Contents fair, some foxing on many pages, only noticed a couple of minor pencil underlines, with correct spelling in pencil to edge, no other inscriptions. Marbled end pages & marbling to edges. Gilt embossed to front cover is 'A.D. 1576 my trust is in god alone',& the coat-of-arms of Sutton Valence school.
