Hardcover. Condizione: Good. No Jacket. 1st Edition. This is a hand made high school year book assembled by Helen G Bunnell who attended Solomon High School in Solomon, Kansas. She graduated in 1920. Book size about 6 by 9 inches. Bound in tan cloth over boards with front cover gilt lettering and image of a young woman--decorated spine. One of those early Yearbooks where the publisher provided an outline of what to enter in the book and then the student filled-in the book in whatever manner they chose. First page has a photo of the 17 member Senior Class followed by 16 photos two to a page--most with captions. Students apparently used printed calling cards in those days and one enterprising young man's card states that he does 'Monkey Kissing - Bear Hugging' with no helpers. Also pages hand written by classmates, friends and teachers. Several pieces of school related material laid-in or glued on. Interestingly, Miss Bunnell listed her classmates and noted what had happened to them since graduation. I could say this is rare, but it is actually unique, one of a kind, as are all these old hand-made yearbooks. A reference book for Women's Studies showing how the young girl of the 1920's was educated. This is one volume in a collection of some 65 of these old Yearbooks ranging from the late 1800's to the 1930's mostly from the Midwest which will be in my book seller catalog titled 'Women'. Mouse nibbling to rear cover bottom tip; usual wear and tear from constant handling while being assembled. GOOD Language: eng Language: eng Language: eng. Signed by Author.
