Originally aired on CBS on September 11, 1979. Based on the article "Good Night, Sweet Prinze" by Peter Greenberg, published in the June 1977 issue of Playboy magazine. A portrayal of the sudden rise and success of the troubled Puerto Rican stand-up comedian and actor, Freddie Prinze, who died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound on January 29, 1977.
