Hardcover. Condizione: Good. Condizione sovraccoperta: No Dust Jacket. Reprint. A very solid copy, with a few stains to the boards, which otherwise are quite bright. The front is adorned with a wonderful Art Nouveau-style decoration. The head and tail of the spine are lightly worn. Inside, there is a crack in the fron endpaper, but the gutters are sound. The front endpaper is ghosted (probably a newspaper clipping was lodged there for a while), but the paper the book was printed on is of very high quality, and it is barely toned. The frontispiece is a photo of the author with the acclaimed opear star Nellie Melba, who also contributed a preface. This is not the first printing; the date on the title page is 1905.
