Frank, Jr., "The Image of Harvey in Commonwealth and Restoration England" Rather than treating Harvey's discovery of the circulation solely as an isolated scientific breakthrough, the contributors examine the medical theories, professional culture, intellectual debates, and social circumstances that shaped Harvey's work and its reception. Illustrated with historical images and anatomical material, including early representations of the vascular system. Condition: Near Fine. Original red cloth remains bright and clean with strong gilt and red lettering to the front board and spine. Only minor shelf wear and slight rubbing/bumping at the spine ends.
