Whoever he was, as a cow man, he knew a lot about sheep, and traveling the Great Plains, and, of course, horses. HOWEVER, Wright's AMERICAN FICTION, no. 4352 states the first 358 pages are fiction, but that the section on the Plains is factual. Note: HERD states 14 or 18 plates.
