Spear & Söhne existierte von 1879 bis 1984. Der zweite Firmensitz war in Enfield bei London (1930-1997). In den 20er wurde das außerordentlich erfolgreiche Bilderbuch- und Spieleprogramm "Was ihr wollt" aufgelegt. Aus dieser Reihe stammt auch das vorliegende Werk (Verlagsnummer 10458). 1925 hatte man bereits knapp 100 Titel herausgegeben, um 1930 waren es etwa 140 Titel. Auf der ersten Seite werden die Kinder mit einem wartenden Flugzeug der Zeit eingeladen:"Darf ich bitten, Platz zu nehmen, gleich geht unser Flug nach Bremen. Wer noch mit will, muß sich eilen, da wir nicht mehr lang verweilen."-Kanten bestoßen, Einband und Seiten fleckig. Der Buchrücken ist an beiden Polen etwas beschädigt, so dass sich an den Gelenken z.T. kleine Dehiszenzen zeigen. Insgesamt festes, sammelwürdiges Exemplar. Zustand akzeptabel. Sehr selten.
