No Binding. Condizione: Near Fine. No Jacket. This is not a book but rather a pair of 10-inch, 78 rpm, heavy shellac records, Victor Talking Machine Company 16109 and 17820, both "near mint" (from the estate of a collector who boxed his 78s after carefully wrapping each in butcher paper.) 16109, undated but 1907, has the large (3-3/4-inch) batwing labels, labeled "Rural Comedy"; whereas 17820, undated but 1915, has the smaller, 2-3/4-inch batwing labels, labeled "Yankee Talk" and "Yankee Talk with orchestra." They were well received by the public, launching a series that would continue till his death. His best-selling recordings included "Uncle Josh's Arrival in New York" (1898), "I'm Old But I'm Awfully Tough (Laughing Song)" (1898), "Jim Lawson's Horse Trade With Deacon Witherspoon" (1901), "Uncle Josh's Huskin' Bee Dance" (1901) and "Uncle Josh Buys an Automobile" (1903). This pair of 78 rpm records now reduced from $27. …
