Soft cover. Condizione: Good. 1st Edition. Softcover. Signed and inscribed to a niece in 1938 by "tante Camille" on the page with the author's photo, so one imagines it is indeed signed by the author. Very scarce on the market, I believe, but an important item of French Canadian literature, while also a piece of Francophone American literature, as its subject is French Canadian workers in the mills of Lowell, Massachusetts. Significant wear (including some losses) to the paper wrappers, but internally clean. A rare, collectible, and important book--all the more so, since it is signed by the author. Inscribed by Author(s).
