Aggiungi al carrello56th ed. Hardback small octavo, no jacket as issued, good condition, thick papered card covers (slight loss bottom edge rear cover), red cloth spine, black & white drawings, few sepia (brown-tinted) text-photos, four red & yellow-tinted pages with black & white drawings, charts, tables, adverts, spine ends slightly frayed, minimal insect damage covers, pages & white background covers toned, small split front hinge & inner hinge split (pages firm), some edgewear covers. Heavy, and extra postage may be requested to destinations outside Australia. 702 pp. Brown's Nautical Almanac is a wonderful maritime reference book. The 1933 edition is the 56th year of annual publication. The charts, adverts and nautical-related material are an important part of maritime history. Apart from daily tide information there is also port information, including distances between ports, and astronomical data. In this edition, some of the more widely used tables from Pearson's Nautical Almanac which merged with Brown's, have been included. The Tidal Constants have been thoroughly revised and extended, and now refer to Dover. The Nautical Tables and Methods Section has been thoroughly revised and the general Distance Tables extended, particularly by the addition of distances between ports on the American coasts. A valuable edition to an historical maritime collection. (Bookmark loosely inserted.).
