This is one of the two translators into English. * NOTE: On the History: Fought in 1905 in the Russo-Japanese war, it was an overwhelming victory for theJapanese and the writer a Russian Naval Commander had for a number of years criticised his superiors about their navy and caused them serious embarrassment. He had been imprisoned and stripped of all rank at the time of this battle and given command of a gun-boat not involved in the battle. It was the largest and most decisive battle fought at sea since Trafalgar and was the last naval battle of the old rules of war where a fleet surrendered at sea, with a damage ratio of about 80%. It was the first battle where radio played a role and marked the last sea battle of the old school type ever to be fought. Association copy.
