Jacket is shelf-rubbed and shows edge wear, including short edge tears. The book shows small bumps at top and bottom of spine, which do not affect the soundness of the binding. This is NOT an ex-library book. A good, sturdy, useful copy. "Having ridden and kept horses for the past fifteen years certainly qualifies Carol R. Melcher to write a book on stable management. Having seen both the worst and best kinds of stables has also helped greatly in rounding out her experience in the field of stable management. Though not aiming strictly at the novice, Miss Melcher feels that the younger a person begins to learn about good stable management the better, for habits are most easily ingrained in the younger mind.
