Scarce catalogue celebrating the 70th birthday of Hong Kong artist Gaylord Chan (1925-2020). The catalogue features numerous plates of his brightly colored paintings and some photos from his life. There is also a section, "Gaylord Chan on Age, Art and Knowing When to Stop." In addition, the catalogue presents essays by San Chan (the artist's son), Hanart TZ Gallery's Tsong-zung Chang (Johnson Chang), and journalists Scarlet Cheng and Lulu Yu. Text in English and Chinese. Hanart held an exhibition of Chan's works from October 12 to November 2, 1995.Stapled to the front flap is a handwritten note from Chan dated 5-9-1998 (it appears to be a copy, not original). Laid in are copies of several magazine articles about Chan.This catalogue is scarce.
