Editore: Austin: Self-published, 1963. 1st ed., 1963
Prima edizione Copia autografata
Hardcover. Condizione: Very Good. 1st Edition. 8vo. 20 pp. printed rectos only. Original white cloth printed in black. INSCRIBED on the front free endpaper: "To Bert Thompson My good friend! Waggoner 12-15-64." This book is the summary written by the Texas Attorney General, Waggoner Carr, about the state of Texas' independent investigation into the assassination of JFK and wounding of Connally. Laid into the rear (originally stapled in) is a TLS, folded in half, from Carr to Thompson on Carr's official State of Texas letterhead and dated December 18, 1964: "Dear Bert: I thought you might like to have a permanently bound copy of the Texas Supplemental Report on the assassination of President Kennedy for your library. This is being sent to you with my personal compliments and was not printed at state expense. I continue to be deeply grateful to you for all of the help and assistance you have been to me. . .Yours sincerely, Waggoner" It is not known how many copies of the report Carr had bound but it clearly was not a great number. The covers have light soil and the text block shows evidence of dampness (slight discoloration of paste downs and page waviness). The letter has a stain at the fold which also has a 2" tear. Very good minus. An important association copy of a very scarce Kennedy assassination document. Inscribed by Author(s).
