The book was published by Houghton Mifflin Company in 1969 and is a stated First Printing. The book IS an ex-library copy and both the book and the dust jacket are in very good condition but for a few library markings. The book is 5 3/4" by 8 1/2" and has 118 pages with a black-and white frontispiece. "This Very Tree is a book for all people of good will - but perhaps especially for those who cannot understand what has got into young people these days and who want to restore one's faith in humanity."
