Condizione: Very Good. Illustrated (illustratore). First Edition. First edition. Very good plus in original cloth with gilt titles, corners slightly bumper. Slight to minor foxing to endpapers. TEG, fore edges and bottom edges untrimmed. Engraved frontispiece with original tissue guard. The editor has removed all recipes traceable to a published source. Many come from servants and cooks as well a well known society of the 19th century, both British and European. Many were the guest in her home and this collection is representative of recipes from Ireland, Britain, France, Italy, Switzerland, Denmark, Russia, Spain, Germany, Portugal, Holland, Austria, Turkey, and India.
