Se utilizan como casos de estudio para el desarrollo de la dinámica del sistema, unidades costeras ambientales para el manejo que han sido demarcadas y delimitadas en los municipios de Santiago de Cuba y Guamá en Cuba. Con el resultado se aporta una herramienta interactiva que facilita procesos de aprendizaje en estudiantes universitarios en los temas de gestión integrada del riesgo costero.
