Wraps (LACKING both front and rear). vi, 259, 8 pp. The 8 pages at the rear are specimen pages from a forthcoming work. A mystery/detective style novel set in late 19th century France and involving the discovery of a corpse. POOR/FAIR condition, LACKING the front and rear wrap. Most of the wrap present along the spine, with some loss at the head and tail. Heavy browning to the paper, with some soiling to the first and last page. Minor chipping and tearing to the extremities of the first and last pages. Text block solid.

Hardcover. Condizione: Fair. Soiled, and worn maroon boards with gilt print along spine. Extremities are rubbed, bit of fraying at corners, head/tail. Binding is cracking in places, though holding together well. Previous owner's ex-libris at front pastedown. Some wormholes through gutter at front endpapers. Interior is age-toned with some signs of foxing, text is clean and clear. Some soiling to page edges.
