A detailed review of literature culminated to take up an investigation on the building frames founded on pile groups. The total investigation has been carried out in three phases. The response of the building frame is evaluated in terms of displacements, rotations, shear forces and bending moments. The frame which is used for the study is also analyzed with the fixed bases to compare the behavior of the frame with and without soil interaction. 144 pp. Englisch.
