Apparently the earliest study of influenza. The author gives an account of influenza epidemics from 1557 to the time of writing, describes various forms of treatment, and ends with a brief section on how to protect against the disease. Saillant was a member of the Faculte de Medecine and practiced in Paris from 1804 until his death. Hirsch. .
