Maroon cloth cover with pictorial paste down is frayed at spine caps with a 1" tear along front upper hinge, sunned on spine, and soiled but in good condition. Boards and spine are straight. Binding is tight. Gift inscription in antiquated ink on front…end sheet. Title page has a small chip to outer corners and faint damp stain running along outer and bottom edge. Same very faint damp stain to dedication page but does not extend beyond these 2 pages. Pages are toned with sparse modest thumbing but in very good condition. 7 of 8 plates present (lacking frontispiece).
