Soft cover. Condizione: Very Good. "Harper's New Monthly Magazine" was one of the pre-eminent American magazines in the nineteenth century. Maintaining a high standard of literary excellence, Harper & Brothers managed to acquire the works of many of the world's most esteemed authors for inclusion in their monthly journal. As well as fine literature, Harper's presented some of the most attractive engraved illustrations of the time. With exciting selections in literature, poetry, informative articles on history, current affairs, science and the arts, as well as astute editorial commentary, it is no wonder that "Harper's New Monthly Magazine" was as successful as it was. It is the second-oldest continually published monthly magazine in the country. Clean and attractive - Modest weathering and a touch of staining; spotting and rubbing, as well as shallow creasing to corner tips; edges are rough-cut; corner tips are abraded, with small loss; splitting to head of spine, else spine - which displays shallow creasing, is clean . BINDING - Solid. INTERIOR - Paper is unavoidably lightly toned throughout; there are a few creased corners; the aforementioned small stain follows through the first few leaves; foxing is evident on some of the first few leaves - else the interior is clean and presentable.
