Explosive growth of wireless systems coupled with the features of laptop and palmtop computers indicate a bright future for wireless networks of s…tand-alone systems or larger networking infrastructure. However, many technical challenges remain in designing robust wireless networks that deliver the performance at assured level. In any urban or metropolitan scenario implementations of wireless network propagation models are necessary to determine the characteristic of propagation using a medium. In this book cost231 Walfisch and Ikegami empirical propagation model has been investigated theoretically and a new correction factor has been introduced to improve the path loss factor. Here QualNet 5.0 is used to simulate a given scenario with respect to cost231 WI model and new proposed corrected model is analyzed. With the theoretical and experimental analysis it has been concluded that the limitation of cost231 WI propagation model for shadowing effects of wireless network design in dense urban scenarios, can be minimized with this correction factor. 68 pp. Englisch.

Thus considering this acute environmental problem and environmental sustainability, our research interest has prompted us to intensify our study on bioremediation of heavy metals (lead and chromium) by using heavy metal resistant microorganisms. Keeping this view in mind, the present work has been undertaken to isolate and identify the heavy metal tolerant microorganisms and a heavy metal tolerant/resistant yeast strain (Rhodotorula mucilaginosa) was isolated from effluent of Chittaranjan Locomotove Workshop,W.B. 152 pp. Englisch.

A sample of 273 adolescents (98 female & 175 male) was chosen from government aided secondary / higher second…ary schools of West Bengal by stratified random sampling technique. To collect data Attitudes toward Physical Education Scale , Sport Multidimensional Perfectionism Scale and Checklist of Facilities for Games and Sports in School were administered on the sample. A multiple regression equation to predict the attitude towards physical education was formulated and the equation is:Attitude = 80.869 + 0.690 × Personal Standards + 0.060× Concern Over Mistakes - 0.161 × Perceived Parental Pressure -0.056 × Perceived Coach Pressure Personal Standards (PS) and Perceived Parental Pressure (PPP) were observed to have much contribution to the development of attitude towards physical education. But other dimensions of sports perfectionism have little contribution. Facilities for Games and Sports in School were not the contributing factors in forming attitude towards physical education. 168 pp. Englisch.
