Attraverso ricerche storiche, indagini scientifiche, sapienti operazioni di restauro, la conoscenza di questi manufatti ha sicuramente raggiunto un più alto grado e la loro conservazione un più adeguato livello, anche grazie ai controlli e ai monitoraggi ambientali messi in atto.
