Leatherbound. Condizione: Good+. Salesman Sample. 4to. Pp. [c. 100] of discontinuous selections. Illustrated with color lithographs including a fold-out panoramic view of the Exposition, halftone reproductions and engravings. Full morocco with blind stamped decorations and titles in gilt, sample of the full volume spine tipped inside the front cover, sample of alternative decorated blue cloth covers mounted inside back cover, numerous explanatory slips bound in. Spine ends chipped, corners bumped, back hinge parting, toning to several slips with transfer to leaves, edges toned. A scarce promotional salesmen's dummy of the 832 page "Quadri-Centennial history" celebrating Columbus and America, published on the occasion of the 1892 Chicago Exposition. The descriptive slips effusively tout the merits of the volume and its place in every American home.
