Front free endpaper removed; large pencil doodle of flower on verso of page 27. Large ink stamp "William C. Lumpkin, | Tuskegee, Alabama." on front and rear pastedowns as well as across title page obscuring some text; some soiling and foxing to title page with lesser occurrences to other leaves; some toning to pages 2-3 from laid-in old newspaper clipping.
