This book is the first part of a general work about fossil shells from the Lower Pleistocene of Tuscany (Italy). Our aim is to present a list and iconography for the greatest possible amount of molluscan species from the Tuscan Calabrian stage. The investigated outcrops are in the western end of Tuscany, in the provinces of Livorno and Pisa. In this first list we present 92 gastropod species, starting with Patellidae and ending with the Triviidae. 90 pp., 16 b/w plates, hardcover 4.…

In this volume the authors describe 385 species of Pleistocene gastropod shells from the Island of Rhodes. This is the most comprehensive study ever dedicated to the Pleistocene Mollusca of the Mediterranean Sea, one hundred years after Serafino Cerulli Irelli?s (1873-1946) classical study of the ?Fauna Malacologica Mariana? (1907-1916), which refers to the Pleistocene deposits of the Monte Mario near Rome. The book aims to contribute to a better understanding of the migration and extinction processes of marine species in the Pleistocene Mediterranean Sea. 447 pp., 90 plates, hardcover 4.…
