Quarter red cloth with maroon hard cover border which have an elaborate blind stamped gilt illustrated design of the fair with pretty decorative border. The cloth spine is a bit mottled and is starting to split at the bottom. Wear at extremes. Internally in very good condition with the views quite interesting and tinted with aqua. Accordion fold out format. Two pages of descriptions of the fair which have been age-toned. Overall in GOOD condition. Better than most and a good gift item. Size: 8vo - over 7¾" - 9¾" tall. [MICHIGAN]. First edition. Oblong 6" x 5" accordion-style, pictorial view book with 12 panels of composite views, maroon boards stamped in gold gilt. Shows scenes of cutting, skidding, loading, sawing, mammoth loads, crews, log trains, steamer at Bay City, lumber yard at Bay City, Cheboygan, office near Sterling, Michigan, etc. Spine panel crudely attached, but the booklet is serviceable and the pictures are clean and sharp. Overall a good copy.

Original illustrated cloth. 296 pp., 7 folding maps. A fine copy with light wear and bumping at extremities. The large folding map is a panoramic view of the St. Lawrence River. The other maps are of Saratoga, the White Mountains, Boston, Niagara Falls, the Lower St. Lawrence and Saguenay Rivers, and the northeastern United States and eastern Canada. Profusely illustrated with woodcut plates and views. The printing of the book is interesting, with each page having a red decorative border, ads printed in red and blue, and ads on the back of all of the smaller folding maps.
