During her career, she published more than 30 books, articles, and book reviews about Jefferson, Monticello, early America, and decorative arts. Thomas Jefferson spent a great deal of time in France, and so his contemporaries regarded him as 'frenchified' in his culinary choices. This cook book blends his known tastes for the native cooking of Virginia with the refined cooking of France. Quite a scarce book.
