Some minuscule edge wear to top and bottom of covers and spine, not price clipped (no published price), no inscriptions, internally clean tight and square, overall a vg++ copy, looks hardly opened. 121pp. Marie Goebel Kimball (1889-1955), was an author, historian, and Jefferson scholar who served as the first curator of Monticello (Jefferson's home) from 1944 until her death in 1955. During her career, she published more than 30 books, articles, and book reviews about Jefferson, Monticello, early America, and decorative arts. Thomas Jefferson spent a great deal of time in France, and so his contemporaries regarded him as 'frenchified' in his culinary choices. This cook book blends his known tastes for the native cooking of Virginia with the refined cooking of France. Quite a scarce book.
