Moderate wear and rubbing to binding, although the leather on the spine looks like it had dried out a bit and was treated. Outer text block is speckled red. All pages clean and copy is sound. The front pastedown bears a lovely bookplate of W.J. Lucas featuring a large beetle. The bookplate measures 5 5/8 inches tall by 3 1/2 inches wide and has a handwritten note at the bottom reading "24.xi.21" (possibly for November 24, 1921). Portrait frontis. Contains "The Scottish Naturalist", Nos. 97 & 98 [Jan-Feb, 1920] to Nos. 107-108 [Nov.-Dec., 1920] in six sections, paginated continuously. Nos103-104 has a separate title page for the "Report on Scottish Ornithology in 1919, Including Migration" by Leonora Jeffrey Rintoul and Evelyn V. Baxter.
