Tall quarto. 18, (10)pp. + two tipped in leaves. Specially bound by Claudia Cohen in publisher's vellum-backed paste paper boards stamped in gilt, housed in the original cloth case with paper spine label stamped in gilt. Fine, with very trivial wear to cloth case. An elegant Heavenly Monkey edition of bibliographer and scholar Alfred W. Pollard's essay, which first appeared in 1921 as the introduction to the catalogue of William Andrews Clarke's Kelmscott and Doves collections. Includes leaves from the Kelmscott edition of The Golden Legend and from The English Bible, considered to be the finest works of the Doves Press.
