Ab 1511 sass er im Gr., ab 1513/16 im Kl. Rat von Luzern. Im 2. Kappelerkrieg führte er die Luzerner Kriegsrodel. C. unternahm weite Reisen nach Asien und wurde 1519 in Palästina zum Ritter des Hl.
