Paperback. Condizione: New. Print on Demand. This book on ancient astronomy provides fascinating insights into how ancient peoples understood the movement of celestial bodies. The author seeks to explain how the Earthâs curvature, the tilt of its axis, and its revolutionary motion around the Sun are key factors in our perception of stars, planets, and the changing seasons. The author draws parallels with more modern understandings to illustrate the book's points, offering a comparative glimpse into the evolution of our knowledge of the cosmos. The book also discusses concepts such as the celestial sphere, the system of constellations, and the relationship between astronomy and astrology, demonstrating how astronomy shaped many areas of ancient culture and science. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format.
